Job Description

We are looking for a passionate and dedicated physical education teacher to join our team at SCA Enrichment. Our P.E. Teacher will teach approximately 3 hours of physical education every Thursday that SCA is in session. Classes will be grouped into K-1, 2-4, and 5-8.* The P.E. teacher will deliver engaging and inspiring age-appropriate instruction, expose students to a variety of games, team sports, and be creative about how to work in our space at Southside Bible Church. A materials stipend will be provided, and all materials purchased will become property of Southside Classical Academy. *This is the proposed hour commitment and classroom grouping – grouping will be finalized after registration period. Job Duties Entail:

• Class instruction and management
• Maintain a respectful and safe environment while encouraging competition and sport
• Participate in special events throughout the year (e.g., Orientation, Student Showcase)
• Respond to parent communications in a timely manner and resolve parental concerns
• Learn parent names and greet parents personally as opportunity presents

Compensation: $25/hr ; 3-4 hrs on Thursdays Requirements Ideal Candidates: Foremost -

• Have received Jesus Christ as their personal Savior and seek to live a Christ-centered life. This includes being a Christian role model in attitude, speech, and action toward others.
• Must believe that the Bible is God’s Word and is the standard by which faith and daily living are to be measured.
• Must agree with Southside Classical Academy’s Statement of Faith. Please read diligently before submitting your application.
• Must exhibit spiritual sensitivity, academic ability, and personal leadership qualities in order to train children in spiritual virtue, biblical character, and academic excellence.
• Regularly attend or are a member at local church that is not antithetical to the statement of faith of Southside Classical Academy. If you are a member of Southside Bible Church, your interview process will be expedited.

Subject Related -

• Possess a demonstrated dedication to and love for physical education!
• Have an ability to deliver physical education effectively and energetically to children of varying ages.
• Have experience in teaching (home-schooling your own children counts!)
