Job Description: MTSI is seeking a Junior Software developer to join a high-performing team supporting a DoD program developing software to simulate and evaluate the effectiveness of various weapon systems against potential threats. Responsibilities Develop software to simulate and evaluate the effectiveness of various weapon systems against potential threats as part of a DoD program. Collaborate with a high-performing team to deliver required functionality and analysis. Qualifications B.S. in computer science or software engineering required. An active secret clearance is required. 2+ years of software engineering / development experience, including recent experience in agile software engineering environments. Demonstrable skill in one or more high-level object-oriented programming languages (e.g. C++, Java). Interest and knowledge of modeling and simulation concepts (discrete-event, stochastic variables, Monte Carlo analysis, etc.). Ability to work well in a team environment and interact with data suppliers and customers. Able to work both independently and in a collaborative environment to provide required functionality/analysis and meet timelines. Ability to communicate and explain complex technical issues and provide comprehensive results and analysis in both written and oral presentations. Good analytic skills and the ability to apply these skills in a multi-tasking environment where more than one project may require participation at any given time. Desired Qualifications Experience working with a simulation framework or environment is highly desired. Understanding of the full software development lifecycle process. Understanding of source code configuration and corresponding tools.
