Job Title: Maintenance Electrician

Location: Richmond Heights OR Willoughby, OH

Pay: 40.40/hr

Shift: 2nd OR 3rd (3pm to 11pm OR 11pm to 7am)

Job Description

Join our team as a Maintenance Electrician, where you will work hands-on in a plant environment focusing on the installation, repair, troubleshooting, and preventative maintenance of a variety of building electrical equipment, production machines, and HVAC systems. You will have the opportunity to design, construct, maintain, and repair electrical power systems while adhering to local and National Electric codes.

Responsibilities

• Install electrical wiring and related equipment for all building and plant equipment.
• Troubleshoot and locate electrical problems in machines, equipment, controls, and electrical systems including PLC's and VFD's.
• Design, build, and maintain control panels.
• Perform tests and calibrations using electrical and electronic test equipment.
• Conduct fabrication and assembly work with hand tools and machine tools.
• Work from sketches, patterns, blueprints, and conceptual ideas.
• Maintain supplies and inventories and order materials when needed.
• Operate material handling equipment and keep the work area clean and orderly.
• Train and assist others while following safe work practices.
• Work with limited or no supervision and keep accurate records.

Essential Skills

• 5+ years of experience troubleshooting high voltage electrical power (480v+).
• Knowledge of power distribution and switchgears.
• Experience with AC/DC motor controls, PLC's, and VFD's.
• Familiarity with hydraulic and pneumatic systems.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Familiarity with Diesel and Natural Gas Generators.
• Fabrication skills.
• Experience with 1000+ volt systems.
• HVAC experience.

Work Environment

This role is based in a true industrial manufacturing environment, focusing on heavy equipment and forging. The work schedule is on the 2nd or 3rd shift, Monday to Friday, with potential weekend work. Attire includes jeans and steel-toe boots, reflecting the hands-on nature of the job. The pay range for this position is $83200.00 - $87360.00/yr.
