We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Medical Biller – Collections Specialist to join our team. This crucial role focuses on managing accounts receivable, resolving denied or unpaid claims, and optimizing revenue for healthcare services. The successful candidate will strengthen our collections process and help maintain a healthy cash flow.

Key Responsibilities

Process and submit medical claims to insurance companies and patients, using accurate ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS codes
Follow up on unpaid, denied, or underpaid claims—perform appeals and resubmit as necessary to ensure timely reimbursement
Manage patient billing and collections, including setting up payment arrangements and addressing billing inquiries with professionalism and clarity
Maintain and reconcile accurate records of payments and adjustments, updating patient accounts promptly using billing software
Adhere to HIPAA and other compliance standards while safeguarding patient information
Generate A/R aging reports, identify delinquent accounts, and support escalated collections or recovery efforts as needed

Qualifications
Minimum 2+ years of experience in medical billing and collections or related healthcare AR roles
Solid understanding of Explanation of Benefits (EOBs), copays, coinsurance, deductibles, denial codes, and eligibility verification
Proficient with medical billing systems (e.g., Epic, Yardi) and strong Microsoft Office skills
Excellent communication skills—capable of interacting with patients, insurance representatives, and internal teams with clarity and tact.
Strong attention to detail, analytical mindset, and ability to manage multiple accounts in a fast-paced environment.
