Job Summary As a Mobile Phlebotomist with the American Red Cross, you will play a critical role in our mission to deliver life‑saving blood to patients in need. This full‑time, field‑based position involves traveling to various blood drive locations, setting up mobile collection operations, and ensuring high‑quality donor care. You will be responsible for collecting blood and blood products from volunteer donors in a safe and compassionate manner. Key Responsibilities Travel to assigned mobile blood drive sites across the region. Perform venipuncture and blood collection procedures with precision and care. Provide exceptional customer service and ensure donor safety and comfort. Set up and break down blood drive equipment, including tables, beds, and medical supplies. Follow all regulatory procedures, safety standards, and documentation protocols. Monitor donor conditions and respond appropriately to adverse reactions. Maintain accurate records of donor interactions, blood collections, and inventory. Work collaboratively with team members to ensure operational efficiency and donor satisfaction. Represent the American Red Cross with professionalism and integrity at all times. ✅ Required Skills and Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent is required. Valid drivers license and clean driving record. Completion of a phlebotomy training program or equivalent on‑the‑job experience. Current certification in phlebotomy (preferred, not mandatory in all states). Ability to lift up to 50 lbs., set up equipment, and work on your feet for extended periods. Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to follow detailed instructions and adhere to strict safety procedures. Availability to work a variable schedule including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays. Experience Minimum 6 months of experience in phlebotomy, healthcare, or related customer service roles. Experience in a mobile or field‑based role is a plus. Background in blood services, hospitals, or clinical settings is advantageous. ⏰ Working Hours Full‑time position, typically 40 hours per week. Flexibility is required as shifts may vary based on blood drive schedules. Travel is a daily part of the role; overnight stays may occasionally be required.
