INDEPENDENT CONTRACTOR -Personal Household Assistant
We are seeking a resourceful Personal Assistant to support a busy household with both clerical and domestic tasks. Position location is 30 minutes from Waimea. Candidate needs to be flexible, dependable, responsible, compassionate and can anticipate the needs of the household and homeowner. Tasks include, but are not limited to, clerical tasks, animal care, plant care, light household chores, errand runs and driving homeowner to appointments. Role:
· Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday
· 9:00 am to 3:00 pm (30 minutes paid lunch)
· $28.00/hr
· Must be flexible
Key Responsibilities:
· Run errands: market for groceries, pharmacy for medication, post office for mail pick up from P.O. Box, and various other household type errands
· Complete light daily household tasks such as making the bed, maintaining cleanliness and organization, vacuuming, sweeping, dusting; laundry, and managing needs of the household and other duties as they arise
· Assist with the care of various animals and household plants
· Transporting of homeowner to and from medical appointments
· Support with clerical tasks such as filing documents, mailing, copying and printing, preparing checks to pay bills and invoices, and managing correspondence.
· Housesitting if/when needed
Requirements:
· Resident of Hawaii Island
· Consistently present and punctual for shifts
· Must have a reliable passenger car with current driver’s license, safety inspection, registration, collision and liability insurance coverage, and a clean driving abstract/history
· Must be comfortable around animals and interacting with animals
· Must be knowledgeable or proficient in basic computer software and applications such as Microsoft Word, Adobe, and email.
· Exceptional organizational skills and the ability to multitask and juggle multiple priorities efficiently
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
· Flexibility to adapt to shifting priorities and demands
