Job Description

We are seeking a Plant Manager to join our team! This position also ensures systems, processes, and policies are in place to develop, achieve and continually improve key metrics in the areas of safety, quality, productivity, operational cost, and customer service while balancing ChromeTech’s abilities with our customers’ needs. We operate 24 hr / 5 day operation across three shifts with occasional weekends.

Responsibilities:

• Provide overall leadership and direction in order to effectively accomplish production requirements in a safe and efficient manner.
• Support a culture of Excellence in Quality by being the role model for quality and championing the implementation of effective Quality Control within the Quality Management System.
• Champions efforts to improve ISO and other business management systems.
• Develop and implement systems and processes in the areas of Safety, Quality, Productivity, Cost and Procurement that enable operating teams to effectively and efficiently carry out their work.
• Promote and support current Good Manufacturing Practices.
• Establish clear expectations and accountabilities and ensure they are carried out on an ongoing basis.
• Facilitate participation and involvement of all team members and create an environment of teamwork and mutual trust. Develop capabilities of team members in order to better problem solve, make sound judgments and work together as a team.
• Lead efforts in project management and maintenance which drive improvement to the organization.
• Put in place goals, standards and objectives that drive improved customer satisfaction and continuous improvement in business results (quality, productivity, cost, budgeting).
• Develop and implement cross-training program, educating and mentoring all levels in the organization.
• Provide necessary information so that team members understand customer needs and how well they are delivering against those needs.
• Support new product/process development by assuring manufacturing capabilities will be able to meet customer expectations (current and in future).
• Constantly strive to improve and support positive communications (written and oral) with all levels and disciplines within ChromeTech and with all ChromeTech’s partners.
• Responsible for meeting month-end metrics, as well as, other business KPIs.
• Champion the creation, communication and execution of the production schedule to assure customer needs are met.
• Review and audit the daily schedule for the efficient use of production personnel and assets.
• Verify production paperwork (including customer specifications and part prints) requirements are being met.
• Effectively hands-on troubleshoot issues which arise on daily basis, then communicate root cause and solution(s) for effective long term resolution.
• Coordinates IT and support for any technical issues which will impact the business.

• Demonstrated ability to lead and manage a team and influence others.
• Effective project management skills with the ability to determine financial payback of improvements.
• Advanced experience and knowledge in the development of strategic initiatives and cost containment activities.
• Demonstrated ability to problem solve (identify problem, define root cause, develop alternative solutions and select and implement most effective solution).
• Effective interpersonal and teamwork skills. Demonstrated capability to function within a cross functional team and/or to lead cross functional teams.
• Ability to seek out, listen and value inputs from all levels in the organization, recognizing the values, skills and knowledge possessed by associates.
• Ability to exercise professionalism, courtesy and tact in dealing with all members of the ChromeTech organization and external resources.
• Strong mechanical aptitude.
• Proficient in computer spreadsheet, word processing and internet software.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred.
