Description:
Our ICU is home to highly-trained staff who care for a wide range of patients, from neonates to geriatrics.
The unit is equipped with state-of-the-art technology.
We provide care for patients who have undergone cardiovascular procedures, including coronary artery bypass grafting and heart valve replacements.
Our team specializes in caring for patients undergoing interventional and non-interventional procedures.
We use advanced therapies requiring specialized equipment such as intra-aortic balloon pumps and extracorporeal membrane oxygenation.
This position involves providing direct patient care for assigned patients.
The role includes utilizing the nursing process to assess, diagnose, plan, implement, and evaluate the plan of care.
Collaboration with all healthcare team members is essential, focusing on promoting evidence-based care.
The ideal candidate should be able to read, write, and communicate effectively.
Basic computer knowledge is required.
This position is deemed safety sensitive.
COVID-19 and flu vaccinations are required, with allowances for medical and religious exemptions.
Experience in a community hospital setting is preferred.
Familiarity with charting systems is necessary.
Travel experience is required.
Skills in managing ports, arterial line management, and assisting with chest tube insertion are preferred.
Knowledge in care of patients on ECMO and mechanical ventilation is desirable.
Ability to perform phlebotomy and interpret arterial blood gases is important.
Experience with continuous IV sedation and management of dysrhythmias is necessary.
Candidates should be comfortable with monitoring hemodynamics and providing post-surgical care.
Participation in shared governance is encouraged.
