TheraEX Staffing Services is seeking a travel Pharmacy Technician for a travel job in San Andreas, California.

25 bed critical access hospital
They offer inpatient acute care, outpatient services and emergency services; including three Specialty Care Centers and five community Medical Centers.

**Requirement for this need- Must be able to make IVs
CA licensed and BLS certified

Automation (Omnicell or Pyxis), Sterile compounding, unit dose pre-packaging. The ability to work well independently. We are a small facility and would be the only tech in the department after training/orientation.

Must be licensed in state of CA- any candidates that are not licensed in CA will not be considered because licensing in a lengthy process, must also have BLS and hospital pharmacy experience

What areas will they cover (ER, ICU, Inpt, Outpt, etc.) They technician provide restocks and retrieves meds from hospital staff, med rooms, med carts, and automated dispensing machines. & verification for hospital - This includes ER, Surgery Department, MedSurg, ICU, radiology, infusion center (with chemo, etc). No L&D currently in at facility. No NICU or PICU. No Limited outpatient through ER.
6:30am-5pm, evening call may be required as well

Common Duties/Job Requirements/Skills:
• Under the supervision of the pharmacist the technician prepares, packages, unit doses, labels restocks, and re-orders medications and department supplies.
• Promptly and accurately delivers and retrieves medications to/from patient care units.
• Using proper aseptic technique, prepares compounded non hazardous sterile preparations, daily and weekly cleaning of cleanroom environment, cleaning of Hazardous and non hazardous IV hoods.
• Prepares and restocks emergency medication trays and boxes
• Monitors medication inventory for expiration dating, and proper storage conditions. Complete department quality control documentation.
• Responds to phone and message requests from patient care units, serving as a point of contact to assist in resolution of medication related issues

Shifts & Scheduling: 630a-5p M, Tu, W and Typically 0630 -3pm on Sun
Weekend Requirement: Should expect to work on Sundays
Holiday Requirement: Could potentially be expected to work holidays. They would fit them in where they are needed.

Scrubs or Dress Code Requirements: Kelly green scrubs, may wear a matching kelly green scrub jacket.
