\n\nTravel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

\n\nJob Details:
\n• Work 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
\n• No on-call requirements, may occasionally be placed on standby
\n• May float to CHRISTUS Longview based on census needs
\n• Provide routine and complex nursing care utilizing the nursing process including assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention and evaluation
\n• Address complex psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families
\n• Administer medications and treatments using appropriate protocols while monitoring for side effects and effectiveness
\n• Document patient history, symptoms, medications, and care provided
\n• Assess learning needs and provide education to patients, family members, and caregivers
\n• Make appropriate assignments and delegate to other care providers
\n• Must attend New Nurses Orientation within first 30 days of hire
\n• Participate in preceptorship with designated trained staff member
\n• Complete organizational entry competency validation and MedSurg specific competency validation
\n• Complete annual competency verification requirements
\n• Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing preferred
\n• One year of experience in related nursing specialty preferred
\n• Current BLS certification required (AHA only)
\n• Current ACLS certification required (AHA only)
\n• RN License in state of TX or compact required
